Therapist

Jenny Melton
Jenny is a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), Registered Nurse, certified Yoga instructor and Health Coach. As a Registered Nurse, Jenny observed how clients in her care suffered from not only physical, but also from emotional ailments, including mental illness. She also recognized how the need for mental health care was often undervalued and under-appreciated by both clients and their families. It was through her eight years of working as a Registered Nurse at Stony Brook Hospital, primarily in medical and ICU settings, that it became apparent to Jenny that caring for her clients required a deeper knowledge of emotional, mental, and spiritual healing. She pursued a 300-hour yoga certification as a yoga instructor and Health Coach six years ago, and in 2022 became a board certified PMHNP. Jenny has dedicated her life to sharing her knowledge of yoga, health, wellness, and meditation to help guide and support others on their healing journeys. Combining her knowledge/expertise in modern and alternative healing has given her clients a well-rounded experience of healing. Her passion for her work aligns with her own lifelong journey of personal and professional learning and discovery. Jenny started working for Mind-Body Wellness in September 2022.
